A LETTER FROM OUR SECRETARY GENERALS

Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,
With the utmost honour and excitement, we welcome CPSSMUN's eleventh annual iteration! The beginnings of this club, back in 2015, were humble with a small yet dedicated organization and delegation. Now, that humble club has grown to over 200 delegates, with ten conferences under our belt! Throughout the past decade of conferences, students have created countless memories, and we are excited to create many more this school year and conference.
Central Peel’s Model United Nations has served as a community that creates passionate leaders and everlasting friendships. However, this club would not be possible without the immense support and effort of our delegates, faculty advisors, the school, and our Peel community; we cannot thank you enough.
This year, we, our Secretariat, faculty advisors, directors, and staff members have worked tirelessly to create the most unforgettable and rewarding conference possible. Our directors and members of the Secretariat have crafted a diverse committee slate that aims to provide delegates with unique experiences. Ranging from Specialized Agencies and General Assemblies to Joint Crisis and Crisis committees, there is a committee for everyone. This year’s slate of crisis committees boosts the creative ideas of our directors, spanning from entering the world of Micheal Scott and the intense paper industry of Dunder Mifflin in The Office, to exploring the crossroads of Barbie’s Dreamland and intense new scientific discoveries in Barbenheimer, or what about the entirely new story crafted in Isle Casa Terra? This creativity spreads to our General Assembly, allowing delegates to debate on the complicated issues of aviation, cyber security, and carbon emissions. And not to be forgotten is our Specialized Agency, which brings the screen to life, allowing delegates into the famous Animal Crossing game.
While our directors have carefully crafted the art that is this year’s committees, it is students like you who bring this art to life. Every year, we are amazed at the eloquence, creativity, and sheer passion that delegates bring to our conference, and we cannot wait to see what you have in store this year. This being our last year of highschool, and our last year as avid CPSSMUNers, this conference is particularly sentimental to us, and chronicles the countless memories, experiences and moments we have acquired over the years. This club has become a staple within our highschool experience, and we hope that you truly enjoy this year’s conference, just as much as we have enjoyed creating it.
Best,
Nehmat Badhan & Anna VanderBerg

FACULTY ADVISORS
These are our teacher supervisors, Justin Schikschneit and Ryan Van Berkel, who have been part of CPSS MUN since it started in 2015 along with Marjan Zarifi, who has supported us throughout. They are the literal backbone of the club, and without them, CPSS MUN wouldn't be where it is today.
Got A Question?
We are always looking for ways to improve our participant experience! If you have any questions, please feel free to fill out the form above OR email us at cpssmun@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
