Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,

 

     It is with great honor and excitement that we welcome you to CPSSMUN’s annual Model United Nations conference. To begin, we are extremely pleased to announce a MUN milestone at Central Peel Secondary School. Starting off as a small organization with barely enough members to fill a room, it is unbelievable that we are now hosting the tenth iteration of this conference as a club with over 200 delegates! We truly hope that every individual that participates in this event, whether as a delegate or staff member, is able to walk out with a memorable experience.

 

     With each passing year, this club has become the platform for building 21st-century leaders and has cultivated lifelong friendships. To everyone that has supported CPSSMUN over the last few years, we sincerely thank you for your continued encouragement. CPSSMUN would not be where it is today without the support of all our delegates, faculty advisors, the school, and our Peel community. 

 

     This year, we have worked endlessly to provide the most accessible and rewarding conference experience possible for our tenth iteration. From our detailed background guides to thrilling crisis arcs, CPSSMUN X aims to be a multi-functional conference with nine committees in total ranging from two JCC crises to both SA and GA committees. With stories varying from the classic chase of cops and robbers to the constant conflict of war between kingdom heirs, our crisis committees will not disappoint. Diving into our formal committees, the fight for justice in the courtroom continues, and our general assembly brims with global trade conflicts for you all to resolve. We want every delegate, regardless of their experience level, to enjoy themselves and engage in debate while simultaneously sharpening their diplomacy, relations, and diverse viewpoints. 

 

     We live in a world where change is inevitable. However, one thing that has remained unchanged in the past ten years is the passion and dedication that delegates bring to our conference. It is truly remarkable to witness these individuals harness the power of dialogue and collaboration in order to better our world. 

 

     Having followed us through the four years of high school, we hope MUN finds its way into your hearts to become a legacy as it has in ours. MUN has truly become a key highlight of our high school experience and we hope that this conference can become a core memory in your MUN journeys as well.
